Introducing. . . (Drumroll)

First look.

We both love him to pieces and are so happy that he’s here. (We’re even happier now that we’re finally out of the hospital and back home!)

Proud Papa with his first born son. You can see he’s been awake for a while!

He’s a great baby so far, in spite of having his days and nights mixed up. I’ve been educating Jared on things like diaper changing (or nappy changing if you want the Brits to understand you), and he’s been educating John Quincy on the importance of reading The Economist. We’re a good team.

Doing skin-to-skin with Daddy

I may decide to write up my birth story and publish it, so if you’re interested in that sort of thing, check back in a couple days. If not, stay far away!

Coming home.

We’re praising God for this safe delivery.

Annika and Jared, we are thrilled for you! Lila said, just yesterday, that she old enough to babysit now – she must have felt little Jofn Quincy ‘s presence.

Proud of you Annika and Jared. Maybe next year when you are state side again we will reunite and meet John for the first time. Does he have a nickname yet?

Tell me what you think!
