John Quincy Morgan, born after 33 hours of labor at 12:51 a.m. on Monday, October 19th, weighing 8 pounds 6 ozs, 22.4 inches long, and screeching like a banshee.
We both love him to pieces and are so happy that he’s here. (We’re even happier now that we’re finally out of the hospital and back home!)
He’s a great baby so far, in spite of having his days and nights mixed up. I’ve been educating Jared on things like diaper changing (or nappy changing if you want the Brits to understand you), and he’s been educating John Quincy on the importance of reading The Economist. We’re a good team.
I may decide to write up my birth story and publish it, so if you’re interested in that sort of thing, check back in a couple days. If not, stay far away!
We’re praising God for this safe delivery.
